Mick was one of the best players in the formative years, being the “go to” player for CRB in a run of four premierships in five years. Mick learnt his craft at Horsham Tech School and was one of the first players to have set positions for his teammates. Even when the new wave of youngsters came through in 1982-83 Mick was still able to compete equally with those younger up and coming stars of the future. The fact he was able to keep a group together for so long and win as many premierships as he did, underlines the quality of the man and his preparedness to support the sport.
