Kara Johnson


Kara played her first game with Volleyball Horsham in 2006 with a junior team called Phantom Wallabies. Kara has played in all grades starting with juniors and progressing through women’s, “C”, “B” and “A” grades. Kara has played over 400 games and in that time Kara has won:-
3 WD1 Country Championship gold medals.
2 WD1 Country Championship silver medal.
1 WD1 Country Championship bronze medal.
1 WD2 Country Championship gold medal.
1 WD2 Country Championship bronze medal.
1 WD1 Country Championship All Star Seven best setter.
1 State League WD2 gold medal.
1 Phantoms WD2 MVP.
3 Phantoms MVP runners up.
2 Volleyball Horsham MVP runners up.
4 Volleyball Horsham “A” grade premierships.
3 Volleyball Horsham women’s grade premierships.
13 Volleyball Horsham McIntyre Medals for most consistent female.
2 Volleyball Horsham annual tournament MVP runners up awards
15 years associated with Volleyball Horsham and 6 years as treasurer. Kara won the Horsham Rural City Council Young Citizen of the year for her work as an academy coach encouraging female participation in 2016. Kara won the 2017 Sports Star of the Year Women In Sport award and the 2017 Volleyball Victoria volunteer award.
